Three youngsters who face murder and home invasion charges in Jacksonville, Florida, recently were arrested in Georgia, according to the Kingsland Police Department.

The police department detained four people from Duval County, Florida, after a high-speed chase on Interstate 95: boys ages 12, 14 and 15, and a 15-year-old girl.

The 12-year-old boy was driving a black Honda Accord when police spotted the vehicle traveling 96 mph about 11 p.m. Friday, according to the department’s Facebook post.

The car did not stop and reached speeds in excess of 120 mph, police said on Facebook. Officers finally were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the occupants after deploying spike strips when the car exited the interstate and traveled on St. Marys Road, according to the post.

The driver and two of the passengers had active warrants for their arrest for second-degree murder and home invasion in Duval County, police said,

The 12-year-old faces the following charges in Georgia, according to Action News Jax: theft by bringing stolen property into the state; speeding; reckless driving; fleeing and attempting to elude; fugitive from justice.

The passengers were charged in Georgia with theft by receiving stolen property and with fugitive from justice, according to Action News Jax.
