The Terraces at Towne Lake

The Terraces at Towne Lake is an apartment community in Woodstock.

The southwest decor of DeBate's three-apartment belies her New York origins.

"My son has since moved away from Towne Lake to Canton, and they'd like me to move up there nearer them, but I don't want to move," said DeBate. "Everything is here and it's closer to the city. I just love it here."

"I love my apartment," she smiled. "It has three bedrooms and two huge bathrooms and I'm very comfortable here." Her four grandchildren love to visit and she's set up one bedroom as a playroom. The long hallway served as a perfect bowling alley and the children love having their grandmother close by. Although they spend lots of time at the community pools, DeBate says the best times are when they just hang out together in her apartment.

Recent renovations of her apartment have meant new flooring and cabinet fronts in both the kitchen and bathroom. Her second bathroom houses a washer and dryer, and DeBate loves the large walk-in closets in every bedroom. Her master bath features a Jacuzzi tub, separate toilet room, double vanity and separate shower. A fireplace in the living room, a terrace with a storage closet, and ceiling fans in three rooms are more features she enjoys.

DeBate has seen many changes in the area in her almost 13 years there. A movie theater, several grocery stores and lots of shops and restaurants have opened nearby. There are churches and medical buildings close by as well. She feels the Towne Lake area has a lot to offer.
