My Style: Keith Robinson

KEITH ROBINSON, a 40-something from the Old Fourth Ward, is the owner/creative director of Gloriosa, an event planning and catering company. He's wearing a raw silk deconstructed John Galliano jacket with skinny black pants by Yves Saint Laurent and Yves Saint Laurent Jonny boots.

FASHION PHILOSOPHY: "Wear what you feel comfortable in. The most important thing about dressing is the fit. Seventy-five percent of my clothing is tailored. Have a good tailor."

SHOPPING STYLE: "I love the hunt. I love the challenge of finding the absolute best bargain that I can possibly find. I like finding Herm s ties for $2 and scarves for $12. I just love that."

FAVORITE DESIGNERS: "Gucci, YSL, for knitwear and jackets I would say Prada, some Dolce & Gabbana. And vintage. And I really love mixing vintage with current stuff." Linen-and-silk tunic and polished-cotton trousers by Gucci.

WHAT HE'S WEARING: Richard Tyler black wool shirt with black pants from Yves Saint Laurent and black belt by Bally.

A FASHION PET PEEVE: "In-your-face labels."

FAVORITE PIECES: "A red printed Versace silk jacket that once belonged to Elton John; a circa-1820s formal cutaway coat -- the detailing on it is unbelievable -- that came from Stefan's; a 1970s vintage Yves Saint Laurent indigo velvet suit." Vintage comedy/tragedy cuff links with a Richard Tyler black wool shirt.

STANDOUT FASHION MOMENT: "At the opening party for the Louvre at the High Museum, I wore a 1950s vintage Christian Dior suit, which had been tailored to the bone. I paired it with an open-collared shirt, a great pair of shoes and a fuchsia fedora." His collection of Yves Saint Laurent Jonny boots includes a pair of limited-edition black leather boots.

A WEAKNESS: Scarves and ties. He has more than 100 of each. "I started collecting Herm s scarves and then realized there were so many other great [designer] scarves that weren't Herm s, so I started collecting those, as well."

THESE TIES are by Gucci (far left and right), Hermes and Yves Saint Laurent (middle).

FAVORITE STORES: "In Atlanta: Stefan's Vintage Clothing. I've been shopping there for 12 years. By far some of the best stuff I've ever gotten, especially coats and jackets. In New York: INA, Men's [consignment shop]." Orange silk sweater by Gucci and nylon tricot print pants by Jean-Paul Gaultier.

BEST BARGAIN FIND: "A 100-percent-silk, double-breasted Prada tuxedo that was never worn ... still had the price tags on it ... bought it for $75." Cartier Tank Francaise watch.
