Reader photos of storm damage

Heavy winds caused significant damage across downtown Atlanta, including the CNN Center area and Centennial Olympic Park

Stephen Satterfield, who was at a dinner party on the 4th floor of the stacks when the roof was torn off and the walls collapsed, holds in his hand a brick like the many that were flying by his head as he sprinted for his life through the dark corridors of the crumbling Cotton Mill Lofts.

Not the best quality, but shows the damage. Was even scarier inside the dome.

Yard flooding so far in Stockbridge

What was minutes before the top floor home of 2 tenants is now reduced to the roofless and crumbling shell of building E of the Cortton Mill Lofts.

Not the best quality, but shows the damage. Was even scarier inside the dome.

Jackson, my puppy, that was on the top floor of Cotton Mill Lofts when the tornado hit, that is still unaccounted for. I would appreciate any and all help in finding him. He means the world to me. (see my previous media file submission) ***AJC Note: Jackson was found safe and sound on Sunday.***

Due to the sheer speed and strengths of the winds from the tornado this splinter of wood, not even the size of a pencil and delicate enough to break in your hand, punctured and completely flattened this car tire as it was thrown into another car

Unit 401 of the Stacks, where my boyfriend, PJ Bullock, and friends, Vanessa Elkan, Stephen Satterfield, Lauren Weiss (the homeowner), and my puppy Jackson were enjoying dinner when the tornado hit. PJ, Stephen, Vanessa and Lauren all fought through flying bricks, falling ceiling beams and sparking live wire and made it out with only minor scratches and bruises but firefighters still haven't been able to recover Jackson.
