Friends of the local VFW pass out the American flags to the waiting crowd at Marietta. The Marietta July 4 parade includes 110 entries, 2,000 participants and an estimated 30,000 spectators.

Skydivers kick off the start the 4th of July parade in downtown Woodstock on Saturday in 1998. A parade was also held later in the day in Canton and in Holly Springs, with fireworks celebrations lighting up the evening sky at Hobgood Park, in downtown Woodstock, and at the RiverStone Plaza in Canton.

The 46th annual WSB-TV "Salute 2 America" parade. Girls from the Mobile (AL) Azalea Trailmaids in their colorful Southern Belle dresses, at the beginning of the 1.2 mile parade route. Crowds gathered in the parking lot of The Mt Paran North Church of God in Marietta watching fireworks on display Wednesday night. A pre July 4th celebration kicked off with patriotic music, a program recognizing veterans, a video clip about 911, and Max Cleland speaking at Allgood Church in Marietta.
