Chaplain Darren Turner prays with Spc. David Battle and his wife, Lakeisa, as their son, Ahmarion, 2, sleeps at the foot of the bed in the "warrior care" unit at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Battle lost three limbs in Iraq. While in seminary, Turner attended an Army chaplaincy course. He finished the course in September 2006 and deployed to Iraq in May 2007. He felt compelled to help where the suffering was the greatest.
