Celebrations thrill and inspire

Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies and native Americans celebrate Memorial Day weekend, May 26, 2012. Celebrations took place all over the metro area.

Activities will include sports like soccer and basketball, a cooling tent where popular cartoons will be screened, face painters, inflatables and the ever popular hula hoops! Food can be purchased or carried to the park.

Jazz lovers relax in tents on a hill as they listen to Jazz. The 35th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival includes three full days of music in Piedmont Park. The event is open to the public and it is free. There are two stages featuring live music all three days from 12:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.

The 24th Annual Atlanta Caribbean Carnival parade began on West Peachtree and ended on Auburn Avenue Saturday, May 26, 2012 in downtown Atlanta.

The event included over 25 masquerade bands, troupes, costumes and more.
