Tony Narcisse is president of the Georgia Kayak Fishing Club, a group that is passionate about stealthy and human-powered fishing. Narcisse keeps a sharp eye out for what the birds are doing over Lake Lanier, an indicator of where fish are hiding.

A no-wake sign at Mary Alice park in the southwest corner of Lake Lanier stands sentinel to the closed boat trailering facility due to low water level. That does not bother kayakers.

Jeff Steigerwald, 39, of Cumming prefers to sit sideways while fishing in his stable kayak.
