Atlanta Open Disc Golf Tournament

Atlanta Open disc golf tournament, a qualifier for the U.S. Disc Golf Championship.

Alan Beaver of Charlotte, N.C., practices prior to the start of the event. Even though participants and spectators experienced a lot of rain this morning, play continued and will do so Sunday unless there is lightning on the course. The event is free to the public.

Willie Waite, 31, as he keeps them dry under an umbrella just prior to the start of the event. Waite, from Mobile, Ala., said he had about 15 discs with him today. Most of the pros tote a similar amount of discs.
