PHOTOS: Teen Autumn Veatch survives Washington airplane crash

The three passengers were Autumn Veatch, 16, and her step-grandparents, Leland and Sharon Bowman. The last cellphone pings from the three passengers were picked up on Saturday near Omak. Autumn Veach, the 16-year-old girl, who survived a small plane crash in Washington, arrived at 3 Rivers Hospital in Brewster, Wash., shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, July 13. Veach walked out from the central Washington woods Monday afternoon saying she survived a weekend plane crash. She was driven to a store in Mazama, a town in central Washington that’s about a four-hour drive from Seattle, where an EMT treated her before she was taken to the hospital in satisfactory condition. A girl walked out from the woods Monday afternoon near Mazama and waved down a driver saying she was the girl from the plane crash that happened over the weekend, according to Okanogan sheriff. She was driven to a store in Mazama, a town in central Washington that’s about a four-hour drive from Seattle. The store owner told KIRO 7 the girl identified herself as Autumn Veatch.
