PHOTOS: Baby orcas born to pods that frequent Puget Sound
Another baby orca was born to whales that frequent Puget Sound waters -- this time to the L Pod. In all, 5 new baby orcas have been born to the region's three pods (J, K and L) since December. (Updated Sept. 8, 2015)

There was a new calf that was with T75B most of the day but T65B was also near it. It still had fetal folds and the fin is still bent over." Crews from the Pacific Whale Watch Association spotted a new calf today in L-Pod, one of three resident pods in Puget Sound’s endangered Southern Resident Community. The baby, dubbed L122 by the Center for Whale Research, is the first born to L91, a 20-year-old female. Read more here.
