Personal Journeys: Fourth Down

After high school football coach Jeremy Williams was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease in 2007, he had some hard choices to make. Deciding to embrace life to the fullest was easy.

Unable to speak any longer, Jeremy uses his cellphone to type a comment during a men's Bible study at his Pine Mountain Valley home.

Jennifer uses a lift system to move Jeremy from his wheelchair to bed at the end of the day.

Jeremy saw the Greenville High School Patriots through an undefeated regular season in 2009. He retired after the 2010 season, when complications from ALS made it impossible to coach.

Life's simple pleasures for Jeremy include having his head massaged by his daughter Josie, 11, and son Jacob, 9.
