Person shot on MARTA bus

A MARTA passenger was shot aboard a bus Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Investigators believe a man had exited a bus on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Linkwood Road around 4:35 p.m. when he fired a shot back into the bus, according to Lyle Harris, MARTA spokesman.

A man on the bus, whose name was not released, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury, Harris said. The alleged shooter left the area on foot, he said.
