One person was killed Tuesday morning when a vehicle stuck a concrete bridge support on Interstate-20 in Douglas County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-20 when the driver ran off the roadway, hit the median, sideswiped the guardrail and continued eastbound in the media until striking a concrete bridge support at North County Line Road, GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson said.
The single-vehicle crash was reported at 8:53 a.m., Watson said. The driver, whose name was not released pending notification of family members, died at the scene.
