Eight patients were being treated for non-life threatening injuries following a Tuesday afternoon crash in south Fulton, officials said.
Fulton County police spokeswoman Kay Lester said the two-car collision occurred around 1:15 p.m. when one vehicle failed to yield while entering Ga. 92 from Jones Road and was struck by oncoming traffic. Lester said initial reports that two people were ejected were erroneous.
“Witnesses of the accident removed the victims from the vehicles,” she said.
Lester said the eight total people in the two vehicles were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. One vehicle was occupied by a familiy consisting of two adults and three “mid-aged” children, while the other had two passengers and a 19-year-old male driver, Lester said.
No further information about their identities was immediately available.
“The roadway was shut down during the investigation but has since been reopened,” Lester said. “Charges are pending.”
