A man and woman wanted in connection with a June shooting in College Park were arrested Thursday in California, police said.
College Park police Master Sgt. Jeff Hightower told Channel 2 Action News that Jonathan Sanchez Bankston, 31, and Shanice Jamila Weaver, 28, were arrested at a restaurant in Los Angeles. They will be extradited back to Georgia to stand trial, according to the television station.
The couple reportedly shot a man at the Texaco station in the 5200 block of West Fayetteville Road that left him in critical condition.
Police said Weaver had some previous relationship with Marquel Dalcoe, 30, who was shot and that she gave the gun to Bankston to shoot Dalcoe. Dalcoe was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he remains on life support and has had both legs amputated, according to Channel 2.
Weaver recently posted a photo of her wanted poster to her Instagram account and the photo also showed up on websites Enjoygram and Iconosquare, College Park police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.
