An overnight manhunt involving police in Henry and Clayton counties along with federal investigators ended with Friday morning’s arrest of a man wanted on aggravated assault and armed robbery charges.

The manhunt for Robert Levon Coates, who was wanted by Union City police, was concentrated most of the night in the area of I-675 and Ga. 138, where he was last been seen.

Between 7 and 8 a.m. Friday, U.S. Marshals and Locust Grove police executed a search warrant at the Super 8 hotel in Locust Grove and arrested Coates without incident, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
