A building in Decatur that was evacuated Friday after a report of a bomb threat has reopened.

About 11:51 a.m., Decatur police responded to a threat at 755 Commerce Dr., spokeswoman Jennifer Ross told Channel 2 Action News.

The building was evacuated at the request of building management, and bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to search the facility, she said. Nothing was found during a sweep of the building, and officials announced just after 1:40 p.m. that they had reopened the facility.

“A person suspected of making the threat is in custody,” Ross said. “The DeKalb County Bomb Squad has responded to the location for additional investigation.”

The suspect’s name was not immediately available.
