One dead, three injured in east Atlanta wreck
One person is dead and three others were injured Saturday in an early-morning crash in east Atlanta, police said.
A northbound 2005 Dodge Ram pickup crossed into the southbound lanes of Moreland Avenue at 1:20 a.m. and struck a 2007 Kia Optima, police said. The Kia’s driver died in the wreck, which took place at the intersection of Gracewood Avenue.
The Kia’s surviving passenger and both occupants of the Dodge were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. They were in serious condition.
An investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed as of Saturday afternoon.
