One person has died and another remains in critical condition after a double shooting late Thursday morning in southwest Atlanta, police said.

The shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Moury Avenue SW off Pryor Road.

APD spokesman Ralph Woolfolk told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that one person died at the scene and a second person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Both appeared to have been shot at least one time.

The identities of the victims were not immediately available. The shooting remains under investigation and a motive has not yet been determined, Woolfolk said.

Crime Stoppers tipsters can remain anonymous and may receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
