One dead after hit-and-run in Douglas County

A hit-and-run left one person dead in Douglas County early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Douglas County Sheriff’s spokesman Glenn Daniel said the incident happened between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. near Thornton Road and Waterford Club Drive, Daniel said.

Police had no vehicle description at the time.
