A student was stabbed Monday at a high school in a coastal Georgia city, and another student has been taken into custody.

According to the Glynn County School District, the student was stabbed during a schoolyard fight at Brunswick High School. The victim was airlifted to Jacksonville, Florida, for medical treatment, and is reported to be responsive.

No other students of staff members were harmed in the stabbing, the district said in a release. The student accused of stabbing the victim has been taken into custody and is now facing school and criminal charges, according to the district.
