SUTTON, Floyd Lee

Mr. Floyd Lee Sutton, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Kennestone Hospital.

Floyd (Pop) was born on July 24, 1944 in Cherokee County, Georgia, the son of the late J.C. Floyd Sutton and Bessie Elvira Sutton. He was a Master HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical technician who was self-employed with Sutton Contracting. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Sue O'Neal Sutton, daughter Lesa Mount (husband Daniel, grandchildren Kayleigh Smith, Kara Tornquist, Cory Teefy and Colton Teefy, great grandchildren Draven Smith, Aislynn Tornquist, Everly Tornquist and Violet Teefy) and son J.C. Floyd Sutton (wife Julie Sutton, grandchildren Caleb Sutton and Cole Sutton).

He is also survived by brothers George Sutton, Michael Sutton and Keith Sutton, and sisters Geraldine Sutton and Nancy Padgett, and he was preceded in death by brothers William Sutton and Clint Sutton, and sisters Patricia Sutton and Genelle Calvert.

A celebration of life, remembrance and fellowship will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 4:00 PM at True Gospel Baptist Church located at 5820 Maxham Rd., Austell, Georgia 30168.
