RUMSEY, Ruby Hayes
Age 98, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. Ruby was born August 5, 1923 in Cairo, Georgia to Rosie Strickland Miller and Aligie Miller. Ruby grew up attending the Church of Christ and played the piano. She worked for Lockheed Martin as an Accountant and helped start the activities clubs there. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching the Braves play. She also enjoyed traveling with her family in their camper. Ms. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be missed by all. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Jean R. and her husband Jerry Thomas of Woodstock, Georgia; her grandchildren, Michael Tipton, David Tipton, Doug Rowland, Scott Rowland; three great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Rumsey; first husband, John P. Hayes; her daughter Margaret Rose Parker; her parents, Aligie Miller and Rosie Strickland Miller; and a brother, Paul Miller.
