Our beloved matriarch, Mrs. Ruth Carolyn Strong Ross, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Mrs. Ross was 86 years old. She is survived by her sister, Amelia S. Irons; two daughters, Carol J. Ross and Dr. Rhonda R. Ross; two sons, Hubert A. Ross (Cheryl) and Reginald K. Ross (Michelle); eleven grandchildren, Latresa, Latishia, Pamela, Reginald, Allen, Renae, Theru, Nicholas, Victoria, Justin, and Jayda; a host of great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, and friends. Viewing will be from 1 - 6 PM, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Murray Brothers Funeral Home, 1199 Utoy Springs Road SW, Atlanta, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Greater Turner Chapel AME Church, 4650 Cascade Road SW, Atlanta, GA. Her body will lie instate at 10 AM. Family and friends please assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 2275 Joseph E. Boone Blvd, Atlanta. Attendees will be required to wear masks.
