REDMOND, Michael Vincent
Michael Vincent "Mike" Redmond, age 78, died after a brief illness on October 19, 2021 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GA. Mike was born on May 23, 1943 in Atlanta, GA, the son of Donald Vincent Redmond and Margaret Louise (Sheppard) Redmond.
Mike is a graduate of Decatur High School, Class of 1961. Following graduation, he attended the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA and Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. Mike also served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967.
Mike was a successful Salesman for both Turner Advertising and Rollins Pest Control.
He was predeceased in death by both of his beloved parents. Mike is survived by two brothers, Paul Redmond (Jane Wilde) of McMinnville, OR; Kit (Mary) Redmond of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Donna (Jerome) Redmond Galmish of Smyrna, TN, and Tracey (Darrell) Redmond Young of White, GA; many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM on November 13, 2021 in the Chapel at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Parish Library.
Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.
