PINKSTON, Ricky Lynn
Ricky Lynn Pinkston was born November 13, 1956 to the late Roger and Frances Pinkston, in Powder Springs, GA. He departed this earthly life on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital Atlanta Campus. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Kemp, and a brother, David Pinkston.
Ricky attended South Cobb High School in Austell, GA in the 1970's. He worked as a plasterer for the H.J. Russell Construction Company. He also worked as a sub-contractor, and he later became a truck driver. He joined Ryder Integrated Logistics, Inc. on February 28, 2014, driving for Meridian Brick. According to Meridian, Ricky Lynn Pinkston was a valued Ryder driver, and he did a lot for the Meridian Brick Team and customers. Over the time Ricky was with Meridian he accomplished the following: Delivered: 3,396 truck loads of product & Made: 8,496 jobsite deliveries
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Darlene H. Pinkston; son, Darnell Jones (Shay); four granddaughters, India, Kennedi, Aman and Amiya; four great-grandchildren, Braydon, Brooklyn, Brielle and Sam; three special adopted grandchildren, Dennie "aka Three", Island and Denver; sister, Ida Mae Davis; brother, Earlie Pinkston (Allene); God Daughter, Sakinah English; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside Service will be held, Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Rd, College Park, GA 30349. Today, public viewing will be 1 - 6 PM at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Rd. SW, Atlanta (404) 349-3000 www.mbfh.com.
