NIX, III, William A.
William A. Nix, III, age 70, passed away after a lengthy illness on October 27, 2021. Mr. Nix was a life-long resident of Atlanta and was a graduate of the Westminster Schools and the University of Georgia where he was a member of Chi Phi. He started his career with Arthur Andersen and Company and then with AGCO. He then retired from Caraustar Industries as CFO. Bill enjoyed golf and was a member of Long Cove Club in Hilton Head where he enjoyed spending his leisure time. Mr. Nix is survived by his wife of 37 years, Charlotte Nix; son, Patrick Nix; daughter, Tate Strickland; son, Jeffrey Nix; grandchildren, Dallas and Adair Strickland, Caden Nix; and sister, Laura Peters. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 1, 2021 beginning at 1 o'clock and a funeral service at 2 o'clock at H.M Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
