MUELCHI, Carol Marie
January 3, 1956 -
September 26, 2021
Carol Marie Muelchi, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 65. She was born in Hapeville, Georgia on January 3, 1956 to Joe and Pat Kyser, after brothers Joe and John, followed by sister, Katie. Carol eventually settled in Marietta, Georgia, where she met her husband of 35 years, John Muelchi. There, they raised their daughters Heather and Dana.
Carol graduated from Hapeville High School to begin her career in digital health solutions as a secretary, and soon became a head technical writer and editor for multiple corporations, finally retiring from UPS' Human Resources after 10 years.
Carol was passionate about living through Christ and volunteered much of her time to those in need, with a special interest in the spiritual education of the youth at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Between teaching Sunday school and confirmation classes, chaperoning mission trips, volunteering at MUST Ministries and the North Georgia Walk to Emmaus, Carol was a Wonder Woman who never met a stranger. Among the many hats she wore, she was also a Compassion sponsor, Girl Scout co-leader, and a team mom for Beta Phi step team. She enjoyed reading, exploring gardens, parks and museums with her daughters, listening to Elvis and the Beatles, and traveling to spend time with friends and family. Carol is remembered for her quick wit, goofy sense of humor and incredible generosity and kindness.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Joe; her mother, Pat; and her brother, Joe. She is survived by husband, John; daughters, Dana and Heather; grandson, Asher; brother, John; sister, Katie; nieces, Mary Jo, Kelly, and Kathryn; nephew, Doug; and several cousins.
