MOSES, William Gant
Mr. William Gant Moses, 90, of Fayetteville, GA, died peacefully on December 29, 2020. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Nancy Moses Gilliam; brother, Mr. Robert Frierson Moses; daughter, Dr. Nancy Temple Moses; son, Rev. Dr. William Alexander Moses; and grandchildren, Addison, Broecks, and Caroline Moses. Bill was raised in Birmingham, AL, and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1953. After serving two years in the Air Force, mostly in England, he went to work for the Lockheed Martin Corporation as an Aeronautical Engineer for 43 years. Bill was a second-generation Eagle Scout, served as a scout leader during and after his son, Alex, achieved his Eagle, was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for adult scouting service, got to see his grandson, Addison, get his Eagle, and was proud that his grandchildren Broecks and Caroline are currently active in scouting.
Bill was also an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. He was a student of family history and loved telling stories. Bill was a devoted husband, loving father, and sweet grandfather. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on January 4, 2021, at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA, with Rev. Harry Barrow officiating. Guests are asked to wear masks.
