The only subject more beloved than the paintings and verse of na-tionally acclaimed artist D. Morgan was the woman herself. Native to the Atlanta area, Doris Whitten Morgan Messer passed away in Conyers, September 19, 2021, at 88 years young.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Messer; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Duane Baker; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and Curt Jackson. Her son Dutch Whitten Cofer passed in 1988. She will be so missed.
A memorial service will be held at Scot Ward Funeral Services in Conyers, GA, on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Gary Stanley officiating. Family will accept friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service, Scot Ward Funeral Services, 699 American Legion Rd., Conyers, GA 30012.
