William Nelson Moran , 87, known as Bill passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. He was born November 27, 1933 in Montgomery Alabama to Joseph and Martha (nee Roberson) Moran. Bill was raised in East Point, Georgia and graduated from Russell High School and Georgia Tech. Although he was awarded a football scholarship to Auburn University, he signed a professional baseball contract with the Cleveland Indians instead of attending.
As a person who enjoyed life and was lucky to have two devoted wives; Peggy Moran and current wife of 41 years, Annette Moran; Bill was also blessed with three unbelievable sons; Michael, Steve, and Chris Moran; two loving stepdaughters, Denise Johnson and Donna Brown; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at All Saints Anglican Church; 149 Ebenezer Road, Fayetteville, GA 30215.
