LICATA, Robert Angelo

Robert "Bob" Angelo Licata lived his 86 years with optimism and kindness every day of his life. Bob passed away on October 6, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended Brooklyn Technical High School.

Bob was an employee of Heery International and Wallace Ltd., which afforded him the opportunity to live overseas and sparked his love for traveling the world. One of his favorite memories was living abroad in London and traveling around Europe with his beloved wife, Barbara.

Bob's favorite motto was "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" and he always found the positive side of any situation. Throughout his challenging medical issues in his final years of life, he always pushed through with a smile.

In his later years, Bob enjoyed boating at Lake Lanier with his wife and was grateful for the many friends they met on the lake. From his prior career, he developed a passion for building model homes and impressively could take a picture of any house and build a miniature replica of the home. Bob was passionate about any task he was given and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Bob was most proud of his family and made sure every person he met knew about their many accomplishments. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children, Robert Licata M.D. (Niveen), Michael Licata (Kathy), James Licata (Maria) Britt Boatright (Deborah), Lori Zanewych (Jon); fifteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary, and his sister, Francis.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 (1:00 PM) at the Solomon Williamson Cemetery in Oak Park, GA. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to The American Kidney Fund at www.kidneyfund.org in memory of Bob Licata.
