Mrs. Wilhelmina Danzy Gideon, age 94, of Atlanta, GA transitioned from this life peacefully in her home on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was 1 of 11 children and was preceded in death by all of her siblings. Her husband, Albert and her brother, Woodrow operated D&W Sandwich Shop in the black business district on West Hunter Street, now Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive from 1958 to 1987. She is survived by her three children: A. Dwight Danzy, Dr. Paula D. Gaffney, and Frieda A. Danzy; three grandchildren: J Brandon Gaffney (Ebony), Lauren Danzy, and Lisa Simpson (George); four great-grandchildren: Tyson Gaffney, Ezra Gaffney, Taylor Simpson, and Avery Simpson; two sisters-in-law: Leon Wilson and Helen Wilson, and beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside Service for Mrs. Gideon will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM; The Garden of St. Luke at Lincoln Cemetery: 2275 Joseph E. Boone Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30314. Reverend Dr. Joyce J.
