Billy Dubois ended his journey in this life on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the sleeper cap of his Peterbilt Truck during his sleep due to cardiac arrest. It is fitting that he passed doing what he loved, over-the-road trucking. His business, Billy D. Trucking, was the fulfillment of his dream and vision. The business is co-owned by son, Matthew Lessis. His son, Travis Dubois, worked in the company as well whenever he wanted to.
Billy grew up in Albion, Indiana and moved to Georgia in 1993, landing finally in Calhoun in 1996. He is also survived by his other son, Nicholas Lessis; and grandchildren, Levi Lessis, Lincoln Lessis, Sia Lessis, Maria Lessis, Madison Frye, and Page Frye.
Billy and his wife, Mary Boriah Lessis, stood by each other through various trials. Rest assured; Billy had to listen to Mary complain about wrongs until the day he died.
Billy will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
