COUCH (BROOK), Julia

Julia Brook Couch age 79, of Newnan formerly of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She is preceded by her husband, Robert; her grandparents, Mary Emory Platt Williams and Barney Lee Williams, Jesse Frank Brook Sr. and Sarah Katherine Head Brook; her parents, Julia Roberta Williams Brook and Jesse Frank Brook, Jr.; as well as her brother-in-law, Bobby Wilson; and sister-in-law, Jo Jones. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Allen Couch and his wife Nita; her son, William Frank (Butch) Couch; her two granddaughters, Cheri Brook Couch, and Ashley Taylor Couch; as well as her sister, Bonnie Brook Wilson; nieces, Christa Wilson and husband Michael, Katie Broich and her husband Brad, Beth Snell and her husband Gladston, Dee Whitaker and her husband Bob; her nephew, Ben Murphy; and brother in law, James Jones. Julia Brook Couch was born in Atlanta Georgia, graduated from Sylvan Hills High School, and attended Georgia State University where she was an Art major, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and met her Husband Robert Marion Couch. Robert worked as an attorney in Atlanta while Julia worked for the Chief Judge of the State Court of Fulton County, Charles L. Carnes. Julia enjoyed artistic endeavors, dancing, and spending time with her family. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Julia Brook Couch will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Pastor Johnny Hill will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
