CORREA, Cynthia
Electrical engineer and friend to all, Cynthia Correa's journey didn't end with her death. Cynthia passed away on October 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by those who loved her the most, German, Martha Luz and Aron.
Cynthia Ann Jamison was born in Marietta, Georgia on June 19th, 1957. She received her bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University. Cynthia also received her Master's degree in Electrical Engineer from Georgia Institute of Technology.
In 1987, Cynthia married German Correa in a beautiful ceremony in her mother's backyard. Several years later, after moving to Spain, Cynthia welcomed the birth of their daughter Martha Luz. After returning to The United States, she welcomed the birth of her second child, Aron Correa.
Cynthia was a friend to all. She loved getting drinks with her group from the YMCA, as well as deep discussions at the theology tavern with her church.
Her weekends more often spent hiking and enjoying the great outdoors, or baking and cooking family recipes handed down from generation to generation.
Always down for an adventure, Cynthia love of travel took from train rides through the orient to hiking in the jungles of Colombia.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1PM on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Association.
