Jeanette (Castleberry) Chappell died peacefully on September 26, 2021. Born in Thomaston, GA, Jenny met and married her husband Floyd W. Chappell in Griffin before moving to Atlanta. She was retired from Rich's Dept. Store after 25 years. Survivors include daughters Terri and Tami Chappell. Grandchildren Madeline Celida Diaz and Joshua Jeanette Diaz-Lewis (Dace), sisters Betty Strickland and Rella Harrison both of Griffin and daughter-in-law Robyn Chappell. Jenny was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Chappell, Sr. and her son Floyd W. Chappell, Jr. A service is planned for September 21 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1520 Oak Rd. SW, Snellville, GA, 1:00 PM. Masks will be required in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. @alzfdn.com
