CAWLEY (HUZVAR), Alice Mary

Alice Mary Huzvar Cawley entered into her eternal rest peacefully on November 1, 2021. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children Brian (wife Shannon), Neil (wife DeAnna), Gary (wife Kim), and Jennifer (husband Alvaro), 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years, Jack, son, Patrick, siblings, Mary, Margaret, Jacob, August, Steve, and Norbert, her parents: Janos and Maria Huzvar. Alice was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1931 and attended Fenn College where she met Jack in the Newman Club. They participated in theatre ministry appearing onstage together often with Alice cast as the comedic lead and Jack as the comedic foil. She loved classical music and opera and sang alto in the Holy Cross and All Saints church choirs. Alice was a proud member of AA in good standing for 48 years. She credits the program for providing needed support and guidance to all who find themselves challenged by addiction and willing to ask for help. We will always remember her love of literature and her witty humor. She will be missed by many and loved forever by all. Visitation will be on Thursday, the 4th of November from 6 until 8 with a Rosary at 7 PM at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at All Saints Catholic Church on Friday, the 5th of November at 2 PM. The Rite of Committal will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to (AA org), or MARR Addiction Treatment Center, MARRinc.org.
