Elizabeth "Betsy" Davis (Stone) Pierson Brooks, of Atlanta, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at the age of 95.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of Henry Ryals Stone and May Gunter, of Columbus, Mississippi. She lived most of her life in Atlanta where she was a lifelong member at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and attended school at Washington Seminary. Mrs. Brooks attended college at Edgewood Park Junior College, in Briarcliff, New York, studied at the University of Mississippi, where she pledged to the Delta Gamma Sorority, and graduated from Maryland College for Women, in Baltimore, Maryland. Both Mrs. Brooks and her husband came from old pioneer early colonial settlers from England, migrating from Maryland and Virginia to the southern states and was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Saint Anne's Terrace, where she joined St. Anne's Episcopal Church. She is survived by her daughters; Bettylou Pierson Yevich and Margaret May Roberts.
