A young man in Missouri is getting praise for a simple gesture that has gone viral.
Devante Nicholson stopped what he was doing to thank an elderly gentleman on Oct. 17.
Nicholson was in the back of the Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Burger King when he came up to the front and put out his hand to an older man, KFVS reported.
The man though Nicholson wanted his coupon, but he said, "Oh, no, I just want to shake your hand and thank you for your service and for my freedom in our beautiful country."
The older man, Kenneth Haas, is a 94-year-old World War II veteran, KFVS reported.
A photo of the unlikely pair was posted to Facebook and has gone viral.
