A California driver is lucky to be alive after a metal beam pierced his car's windshield inches from his head.
The unbelievable accident happened Friday afternoon and was tweeted by San Jose firefighters.
Amazingly the BMW's driver only had a scratch, KFSN reported.
Along with the photo, authorities sent a warning to always be alert to surroundings.
