On Thursday, Chelsea Fire picked up Rylee from his home in style - a big red fire engine. Rylee was totally surprised.

The 8-year-old was taken to the station where he was surprised with his own helmet, a station tour and a pizza party.

Then, the city clerk swore him in as firefighter for a day.

Chelsea Fire wanted the day to be fun and show Rylee that he was one of them. They told him he's welcome to drop by the department anytime.
The firefighters planned to take Rylee back home in the ladder truck, but much to their surprise, he wanted to take the chief's car.
