A New Hampshire man has been charged with killing his 74-year-old wife, who was found shot to death in their home late Friday night.

Roderick Munstis, 79, of Derry, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Ellen Munstis. He was scheduled for arraignment Monday in Rockingham Superior Court, according to authorities.

Derry and state police officials said dispatchers received a call around 12:03 a.m. Saturday from Roderick Munstis. When responding officers got to the couple's home, they found Ellen Munstis dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

The motive for the shooting was not clear Monday.

"At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat of danger to the public," Derry officials said in a weekend news release. "Additional information will be released as it becomes available, while still maintaining the integrity of the investigation."
