Update 10:00 p.m. EDT April 7: Phoenix investigators arrested Joshua Gonzalez, 20, on Friday in the death of Summerbell Brown, who was shot and killed in the family's driveway on Wednesday.

Her father, Dharquintium Brown, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.

"This nightmare is going to replay in my head forever," Taniesha Brown told KNXV-TV about the death of her daughter.

“I can't sleep. I hope she's at peace,” Brown said.

Police suspect the shooting is the result of road rage and that Brown may have inadvertently cut off Gonzalez, KNXV reported.

"It's possible that it could've begun on the roadway just by virtue of the fact that the car was following the other so closely before they arrived," Phoenix police Sgt. Vince Lewis said.

Gonzalez is facing one count of first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
