A 10-year-old California girl has died after she lost consciousness on a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, KTLA reported Monday.
Jasmine Martinez of Somis reportedly was unconscious but breathing Friday afternoon after she rode the Revolution coaster. She was airlifted to a local hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
At the time, investigators said the incident was not related to the ride's operation, Magic Mountain said.
"There is no evidence to suggest that this was in any way ride related," the amusement park said in a statement. "We do not know if there was a pre-existing condition."
Martinez died Sunday, and officials temporarily closed the ride Monday.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Jasmine's family and friends during this difficult time," Magic Mountain said.
