Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a 9-year-old girl got off a school bus then was hit and dragged the bus.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. after the girl was dropped off at her stop Plainfield, Massachusetts.

Police say the girl was not clear of the door as it closed, then got caught and was dragged as the bus pulled away.

The girl’s name has not been released, but state police said she was a student at a school in the area.

Police say there were several other children on the bus at the time of the incident.

The male driver is being interviewed by MSP.
