10-year-old boy 'surfing' on car driven by parent falls, gets run over, police say
A 10-year-old California boy is in critical condition after police said he fell while "surfing" on a vehicle driven by one of his parents, then was struck by the car.
According to KERO-TV, the boy suffered "major injuries" – including internal bleeding, broken shoulders, rib fractures and a broken pelvis – in the incident, which occurred Friday afternoon in California City.
California City police said the investigation is ongoing.
