World leaders, politicians react to Orlando nightclub shooting

Leaders in the United States and across the world have expressed condolences and concerns over what President Obama called an "act of terror" when a gunman opened fire in a gay nightclub Sunday.

The gunman, identified as Omar Saddiqui Mateen, opened fire in the early morning hours Sunday.

He was shot in police crossfire. Fifty casualties have been reported and nearby hospitals have 53 people with injuries.
