Woman riding mobility scooter hit, killed by delivery driver, police say

Police say a woman was hit and killed by a UPS truck when the driver failed to see her.
A woman riding a mobility scooter in Auburn, Washington, was fatally struck by a delivery vehicle when the driver failed to see her, police said.
Medics and police were called to the scene around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities with the Auburn Police Department said the woman was traveling south on the sidewalk when the driver of a UPS truck pulled out of a business, failed to see the woman and ran over her.
The driver remained at the scene to be questioned by officers.
The woman has not been identified.
